Mission and Scope

Mission:  To boost writing fluency and skills of vulnerable adolescents in relationship with writing-proficient, caring adult volunteers

Scope of Work:  Middle and high school students from public schools in St. Paul and Minneapolis are paired with volunteer Readers—adults who were as writing coaches and a real-life audience—in a weekly writing exchange that Reader/Writer facilitates and manages. 

Reader/Writer partners with English teachers and many volunteers from the fields of law, higher education and other professional sectors.
